Lamda Development delivers to the public a unique Visitor Centre, the largest in the world of its kind, The Ellinikon Experience Centre which opened its gates today. Through unique natural and technological exhibits and digital activities, the visitors of the Centre will discover in depth the great redevelopment project of the Ellinikon and will travel today into the future, in a sustainable, smart and innovative city; a city that becomes a reality day by day.
Through five thematic zones with impressive installations and experiential experiences, the rich history of the Ellinikon and the ambitious plans of the largest urban regeneration in Europe are revealed. The historic landmarks and iconic projects that compose the innovative design of The Ellinikon “come to life” before the eyes of the visitors in an impressive, interactive model.
At the same time, the public will tour with an interactive bicycle the Park of the Ellinikon, the largest coastal park of Europe with an area that exceeds 2 million square meters. It will also travel with an interactive boat to the upgraded coastline and marina of The Ellinikon and will live a unique experience that will touch all the senses! It will then discover how technology is radically changing the way we live, work and “connect”, in a “smart” green city, which will be a global benchmark. In addition, it will tour one of the state- of-the-art residences of The Ellinikon and learn what it means to live in a “smart” home of the future that offers a new dimension to the modern, human-centered way of life.
“At Τhe Ellinikon Experience Centre, the great project of The Ellinikon comes to life before the eyes of the visitors. Everyone can touch the future of the Ellinikon today through an experiential journey into the future! The largest seaside park in Europe, the 3.5 km coastal front, the impressive buildings with the signature of leading international architectural firms, the technologies that will change for the better the quality of our lives and everyday life in unique harmony with the environment, are revealed before our very eyes. The large project is already here through an unprecedented experiential journey to The Ellinikon Experience Centre. “We are waiting for you all”, said Mr Odisseas Athanasiou, Chief Executive Officer of Lamda Development.
The Experience Centre, housed in one of the three Air Force hangars, which have been designated by the Ministry of Culture as modern monuments of Greek history, welcomes the public daily, from 10:00 to 21:00. Admission is free, while a reservation is required through the website https://www.experiencecentre.theellinikon.com.gr.
The Visitor Centre is located inside the Experience Park, the new experiential park which is an ideal destination to visit throughout the day and that is now open to the public from 10:00 to 23:00 daily. The Centre is accessible from Vouliagmenis Avenue and the entrance is very close to Elliniko metro station. For the convenience of visitors there is free parking in the Park, which will also serve the visitors of the Experience Centre.
